Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT, Flash Wireless Radio Control
To coincide with the launch of the new SLR full frame Canon 5D Mark II (see our presentation), Canon has announced a series of new accessories: the Speedlite 600EX-RT, the grip battery holder Canon BG-E11, the wireless transmitter WFT-E7 and the GPS receiver GP-E2.
Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT is the first flash of the logo with radio built-in wireless connectivity. Top of the range, replacing the Speedlite 580EX II.
Coupled with the new Speedlite Transmitter ST-E3-RT, the flash offers the creative photographer opportunities.
The radio frequency integrated trigger, in addition to the standard infrared wireless control, allows to obtain interesting results with step lighting is complex when the flash is mounted on the camera when it is remotely managed.
Using a master Speedlite 600EX-RT, or the new wireless radio frequency transmitter Canon Speedlite ST-E3-RT, you can activate up to 15 RT-600EX flash unit, positioned up to a distance of 30 meters. EOS cameras connected to one Speedlite 600EX-RT, can also be activated at a distance from both models.

Speedlite 600EX-RT has the flash head and adjustable guide number 60 (m, ISO 100, to 200 mm), the coverage of the range of 20 to 200 mm. The adapter diffuser can cover a focal length of 14 mm. Ideal for portraits, a built-in panel produces natural lighting into the eyes when shooting with bounce flash.
Custom options for the distance of the flash coverage provide more creative options, using the guide number of priorities to illuminate the subject, while slightly darker edges are created in the frame.
Speedlite 600EX-RT communication settings of white balance the camera via the hot shoe connection. To further balance between flash and ambient light, a new adapter can be mounted color filters and two colored gel filters (included) to equalize the temperature of the flash and create a more natural when shooting with tungsten lighting, or the prevailing mercury vapor.
When shooting in low light conditions, with goals from 28mm, you can activate the AF assist beam for focusing more precise.
Designed for professional photographers, the Speedlite 600EX-RT and the Speedlite Transmitter ST-E3-RT are weather resistant and have an LCD display that makes it easy to select the settings and switch between optical wireless and wireless radio.
The flash is powered by four AA LR6.
