Nikon WU-1a

Nikon WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter for D3200 Digital SLR

Digital cameras are more comfortable to grip, faster, more versatile, more ... (almost) everything, but smartphones are a different planet in terms of rapid sharing of images on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. And as that of real-time sharing is something that affects a large number, it is time for camera makers to invent something to not be blowing customers.

So with the new Nikon SLR Nikon D3200 (read our annual report), has seen fit to present even an accessory in a sense, in terms of sharing of the SLR coming the last house on a smartphone.

The accessory (it is optional, is cheap: $ 60) Nikon WU-first works with a dedicated application that, for the moment only supports Android smartphones, but by fall, will also come in a version for iPhone OS iPhone and iPad.
Nikon uses the WU-first Wi-Fi to interact with other compatible devices. It can thus be transferred with reduced resolution versions of photos on the camera to your smartphone, the tablet or any other compatible device.

In contrast to the Eye-Fi memory cards, which you are comfortable, but moving all that has been tripped, the Nikon system offers an interface that allows users to review photos and easily select only those we want to transfer. We also consider the camera to create pictures in low resolution and send it.

It does not end here, because Nikon WU-1a and its application also allows the photographer to shoot remotely controlling the machine by phone, or tablet.

By the time the accessory is only compatible with the D3200, but if the experiment is successful it will soon be extended to other machines.
