Nikon CoolPix P90

Nikon Coolpix P90

If you are looking for a digital camera with extreme flexibility, the Nikon CoolPix P90 may be the product that is right for you. Its wide angle lens is slightly wider than that of most other devices in its price range, but its resilience are among the most impressive we've seen so far. In addition to the legendary Nikkor optics, there are several features result from the latest in electronics that help take the most of every situation and scene, and that allow even novice photographers, taking pictures with the results nothing short of impressive.

Specifications

The Nikon Coolpix P90 has a lot of nice features associated with, but nothing seems to get to the level of its 24x optical zoom. The wide angle is slightly larger than that found in most other cameras in the same category with its 35 mm wide-angle equivalent to a 26 mm (28 mm is the most common value), but its 24x optical zoom can to provide proved comparable to those obtainable with a target of 624 millimeters. The world of photographic possibilities is opening up lettaralmente unlimited photos from high resolution remotely close to an inch, until you get to make panoramic photos literally breathtaking. Although it might seem a bit 'excessive, there is also a 4x digital zoom for a total length equal to 96x zoom although it is almost impossible to get to have crisp and focused with this type of resolution.

The front of the camera front section is dominated by the rather long outstanding request of zoom. On the back, the most notable feature is the display of 3 inches. Although not fully articulated, the screen is tilted downwards up to an angle of 45 degrees and, above all, can be folded and tilted upward to an angle of 90 degrees. The tilt feature is certainly simpler and easier to use, but if there is a point against relatively to the screen, is that it has a resolution of only 230k pixels.

The CoolPix P90 features a 12.1 megapixel resolution to capture every detail you could think of. It offers an exceptionally wide range of ISO sensitivity options including Auto and Manual ranging from 64 to 6,400. As previously mentioned, there is a manual mode to give complete control to the photographer. For fast action scenes, there's a scene mode called Sport, which allows you to take up to 15 frames per second up to a maximum of 45. The approach reduces the resolution to 3 megapixels, but is the price you pay if you want to capture scenes very fast.

To compensate for involuntary camera shots during the vibration and involuntary, to help us get the feature image stabilization, one of the main features of modern digital cameras, the CoolPix P90 and it provides us with the 4-Way VR Image Stabilization. As the name suggests, consists of four aspects. The first is the optical VR Image Stabilization which compensates the movements of the camera by moving the image sensor, apparently by providing better results in conditions of poor stability. Then there is the Motion Detection automatically detects subject movement and set photo so the corresponding ISO value and shutter speed. The third aspect is the high value of ISO 3200 and 6400: Please note that these settings are only available in 3-megapixel or less resolution. Finally, and probably the most unique and interesting, is the Nikon Shot Selector (BSS), can trigger up to ten sequential shots when it detects a moving subject and saves only the sharpest image.

Like many other competing cameras, the Nikon CoolPix P90 has several features that help capture portraits with excellent results. The Face-Priority AF is a function that allows you to search for faces in a position to automatically focus on up to twelve faces in a group. There is also a function that allows the red-eye correction, which will automatically eliminate red-eye from captured images. There is a smile mode that makes you wait a moment after the shutter button is pressed, until it detects a smile on the face of the subject. There's a mode that warns in case of closed eyes and it gives the photographer a warning when it detects that the subject viewed blinks. We like the fact that the camera gives the ability to save or delete the photo if it is not perfect and sometimes this Nikon CoolPix P90 is able to perceive the twinkling of an eye never happened.

conclusion

If flexibility is an important factor in choosing a camera, the Nikon CoolPix P90 can be one of the best choices available. Of course not perfect. Overall, the Nikon CoolPix P90 is a very good camera, in line with the standards of quality home and Nikon is certainly an excellent option for many photographers.
