Canon EOS C500: Video Camera RAW 4K
A prototype development of new digital camera Canon EOS C500 will be on display at NAB 2012, highlight the products worldwide for video and broadcasting, scheduled for 16 April in Las Vegas al19.
The new camera allows shooting at 4K resolution (4,096 x 2,160 pixels). It 'was designed for film and digital production at high resolution. EOS C500, with output RAW 4K, will be available with Canon EF and PL lens mount standard.
EOS C500/EOS PL C500 is based on the same platform as the advanced Canon EOS C300, the first camera Canon EOS Digital Cinema system, announced in November 2011.

EOS C500/EOS PL C500 will allow video capture RAW 4K or 2K resolution with 4:4:4 color sampling.

With the ability to capture video using the output RAW 4K PL EOS C500/EOS C500 offer exceptional video performance with no loss of quality. The output uncompressed 4K will allow the new camera to fully exploit the potential of the range of Canon lenses Cinema, combining seamlessly with Canon Log Gamma, which offers the highest quality video and the wide dynamic range required by the digital cinematography.
Furthermore, the signal to 12 bit RGB 4:4:4 video output with 2K (2,048 x 1,080 pixels) will provide rich colors and a perfect management of information processing such as chroma key.
The frame rates up to 120P resolution 2K and 4K, finally, provide greater creative flexibility, allowing the capture of high-speed video in high resolution for a perfect slow motion.
